Google has started gathering StreetView data on the Rhaetian Railroad in Switzerland! The photo here shows the way they are doing it, with a StreetView bike attached to a small flatcar, out in the lead on the train.

While I do think it is quite cool, I’m not so sure this will be done in the US (though it would be quite neat).
