Hey there, I'm Keith Posehn. I work at the intersection of marketing, technology, and business strategy—the space where understanding people meets building systems that actually work.

Over the past 15+ years, I've worn a lot of hats: startup founder, marketing director, software developer, and consultant. I've built products from scratch, scaled marketing programs from zero to millions in revenue, and helped companies figure out why their growth stalled and how to fix it. These days, I spend most of my time thinking about how businesses really work—not the theory, but the messy reality of decisions, incentives, and human behavior.

Background

My path hasn't been linear. I started as a software developer, building web applications and learning how technology shapes what's possible. That led me into startups, where I discovered that building something people want is only half the battle—you also have to figure out how to reach them. Marketing became my focus, but I approach it like an engineer: systems, measurement, iteration.

I've worked with companies ranging from bootstrapped startups to Fortune 500s, across industries from SaaS to e-commerce to professional services. What I've learned is that the fundamentals are surprisingly consistent. The tactics change, but the underlying principles of growth, positioning, and customer understanding remain the same.

What I Do

I'm passionate about understanding how businesses work and helping them succeed. This means diving deep into:

  • Marketing Strategy - Understanding customers and building effective growth engines
  • Technology - Leveraging software and tools to solve real problems
  • Business Operations - Making organizations run more efficiently

My Approach

I believe in learning in public. The best way to understand something is to try to explain it. That's why I make videos, write articles, and publish my thinking even when it's not fully formed. I'd rather be wrong and learn than stay silent and stagnate.

I'm also deeply skeptical of conventional wisdom. Most 'best practices' are just things that worked once for someone else. Context matters. That's why I try to understand the principles behind the tactics—so I can adapt when the situation demands it.

Content

I share what I learn through my YouTube channel and writing on this site. I also publish longer-form business concepts that explore strategic thinking and organizational dynamics.

Connect

I'm always interested in connecting with people who are building things, thinking deeply about business, or just want to exchange ideas. The best way to reach me is through social media or the contact form on this site.
